In June 2020 The Strad published a special feature all about Robert (Bob) Lewin and Awards for Young Musicians:
The Strad is a UK-based monthly classical music magazine about string instruments, including cellists, violinists, and violists for amateur and professional musicians. Founded in 1889, the magazine provides information, photographs and reviews of instruments, related feature articles and news, and information about musical concerts
Bob wrote The Strad market report for 50 years and was an eminent British collector of String instruments and bows. In 1998 AYM was founded on Bob’s legacy, by his nephew Michael Lewin. 22 years later, we now support more than 500 young musicians each year from all across the UK.
