Young Sounds UK bring Discover training to Aberdeen

We’ve been running our Discover training in England since 2008 and we’re now looking to start the programme in Scotland! To do this we’re delivering a pilot in partnership with Aberdeen Music Service.

Discover invites teachers – both music specialists and non-specialists – to explore how they can give every child the best opportunity to show their musical talent and potential, enabling it to be spotted, nurtured and developed.

Discover in Scotland

Aberdeen Music Service first contacted Young Sounds in 2024 wanting to book the training for their teachers. We decided that best way to deliver lasting impact would be to train a team of facilitators in Aberdeen. In August they received training from lead facilitator Hugh Nankivell. Now they’re running training sessions for other teachers in the county.
