We’re delighted to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for an Royal Philharmonic Society Award in the Impact category!
Regarded by many as the “BAFTAs for classical music” the Royal Philharmonic Society (RPS) Awards recognise excellence in music and musicians, promote an understanding of music, and encourage creativity in music.
The Impact Award is supported by OUP Music in its centenary year and acknowledges initiatives, individuals and organisations in the UK that practically engaged and set out to have a lasting impact on the lives of people who may not otherwise experience classical music.
The RPS Awards are presented in association with BBC Radio 3 and the winners will be announced on Wednesday 1 March 2023 at Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall in London.
This is the latest in a string of exciting announcements:

“We’re incredibly pleased to be shortlisted for the RPS Impact Award – because impact is what AYM is all about. Musical talent is everywhere but opportunity isn’t: we’re here to change this through our national work in supporting both young musicians from low income families and the music education sector. It’s an honour to receive this recognition, particularly in our 25th anniversary year.”
Hester Cockcroft, AYM’s Chief Executive
