In January 2018 ten Award winners and their families were invited by the London Mozart Players to watch internationally renowned violinist, Nicola Benedetti, in concert. Nicola and the ensemble performed Beethoven’s Coriolan Overture Op.62 and Violin Concerto Op.61 at St John the Evangelist Church in Upper Norwood. After the concert the Award winners and their siblings had the chance to meet and chat with Nicola.
Thank you AYM for enabling me to listen to my favourite violinist, Nicola Benedetti play in a wonderful concert on Sunday afternoon. What I really enjoyed was that it was in a small venue, which felt very special. I had an amazing view and I could actually see all of Nicola’s finger-work which is really important to me as a violinist. As well as really enjoying Nicola’s performance, I learnt a lot from watching her play. Poppy (violin), age 12
We would like to thank London Mozart Players for this opportunity.
