“I’m delighted that Young Sounds UK is the new name of Awards for Young Musicians! Musical talent is everywhere, but opportunity isn’t: for over 25 years this wonderful national charity has been changing this. They identify and nurture the musical potential of young people from low income families through targeted and sustained support. It’s imperative that young people facing the most obstacles have the help they need to blossom musically, wherever their journey takes them. Music, and the music industry, will be infinitely richer as a result. I don’t doubt that the newly named Young Sounds UK will be able to reach even more young people who need the charity’s help more than ever before. All power to them!”
We’d be delighted if you could help us spread the word and celebrate our new name. If you could, please refer to us as Young Sounds UK in full, we no longer use an acronym. You can do so by forwarding this e-mail or by clicking the links below. You can find us on:

We’re really excited about this change and hope you are too. The transformative impact we’ve have had on young musicians’ lives for the last 25 years has only been made possible because of the generosity of our partners and supporters and their belief in our mission. Together, we’re making a real difference in the lives of young people nationwide.
