On Thursday 28 November Mary and Stuart Poole hosted a special concert with AYM patron Jess Gillam at their family-run music and dance centre, The HopBarn.
Based in the heart of the Nottinghamshire countryside the atmospheric converted barn was the perfect setting for an intimate concert with Jess and pianist James Ballieu. In between pieces, many of which appear on Jess’s debut album “Rise“, Jess shared with the audience memories from her time as an AYM Award winner, including meeting like-minded young musicians at our annual Awards Days and mentoring a younger musician on our Talent to Talent programme.
Proceeds from the evening, totaling circa £600 will support AYM’s work with young musicians across the UK.
