After nearly 18 fantastic years, Philip Jones will be retiring as the Chair of Young Sounds UK. We’re incredibly grateful for his time, wisdom and commitment to our cause. On his retirement Philip says:
“As ever, it’s an exciting time for Young Sounds (and for me)! I’m immensely proud of the achievements of Young Sounds over the years: from the growth of our team, to the nation-wide impact of our programmes, and all the young musicians we’ve supported. It’s been an incredible experience!”
As we move into a further exciting phase of development, we’re looking for a new Chair with energy, passion and time who will continue to help drive us forward. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO to ensure the charity continues to achieve its ambitions and will lead the Board of Trustees in delivering its responsibility for the overall governance and strategic direction of Young Sounds UK.
For an in-depth look at the role, including requirements, time commitments and the application process, please read the full recruitment pack below.
If you’d like an informal chat with one of our current Trustees, please email Hester Cockcroft, our CEO: [email protected]
Deadline for applications: Monday 16 June 2025 at noon
